Latest word on the street: Southern/Schawk deal OFF!

I have it on reasonably good authority that the deal is dead.  Anyone know anything more?

    This would tend to corroborate information provided to me from someone close to the subject matter: They said that Hank opened his kimono and David ran away.

    And I would also say that Sonoco is too smart to get involved. Consider that more sales guys are abandoning the SGS ship and they’re all going after their former accounts. Oh, this CAN’T be good for Hank!

    Not suprising, based on the size of the egos at that table. (Frankly would have likely made good business sense, given Schawk’s passion for CPG work).
